The Friends of the Icelandic Opera is a society of opera lovers, the main aim of which is to support the IO through publicity work and events designed to promote the appreciation of opera, these normally having a bearing on the IO’s current or forthcoming productions. The Friends also work to stimulate general interest in, and awareness of, opera in Iceland.
